Open House Yard Renovation
The following photos are of a yard renovation I did recently. My client had a limited budget and needed the work finished in time for an open house. Everything went smoothly and the space looks great.

These are photos of some gardens I have been fortunate enough to work on during several summers with the Vancouver Park Board. The Van Dusen Botanical Gardens, the Pavillion at Stanley Park and the Park Board office on Beach Avenue is where I spent a lot of my time. The experience was very rewarding for me. I had the opportunity to work with highly skilled and knowledgeable Trades Gardeners and co-workers who were truly enthusiastic about horticulture. This allowed me to hone my skills in a variety of contexts; from large scale park settings to formal rose gardens. It was exciting to be able to establish and maintain public spaces to varying degrees and standards. I still feel a connection to these spaces and I am proud of what I was able to accomplish there.

The Park Board office on Beach Avenue. I loved working at the office. Great plantings and I really like the building itself. I started doing some renovation work in this space just as my union went on strike. I wish I had some after shots to share. There's a really nice pond between the pine and the building. I think I really saw the potential in what this space could offer.
